Chrystelle Richard is Associate Professor of Accounting and Auditing at ESSEC Business School. Her primary research interests focus on financial accounting, auditing and assurance services. She has published articles on the topic of the quality of audit and financial reporting in various journals: Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, European Accounting Review, Accounting in Europe, Comptabilité Contrôle Audit, Revue Française de Gestion. She is also greatly interested in the controversies around Public Private Partnerships and has participated in a joint research project with sociologists on the French case. She is the co-editor, together with Isabelle Huault, of the book Finance: The Discreet Regulator – How Financial Activities Shape and Transform the World (forthcoming at Palgrave Macmillan).
